The firm was founded by our forefathers in the year 1890 under the name of 'Ghumman and Co'. At the time all the work was done manually and painstakingly. The skilled craftsmen and their determination improved the efficiency of the firm and helped make the firm what it is today. Through the sheer hard work of the managers and craftsmen a spotless reputation for quality and excellence of service was earned by the company.

The patronage of the firm gradually increased from local to international after overwhelming demand in the local market. Due to the excellent reputation for quality and service, the area of operation extended to Delhi which was the capital of the subcontinent at the time. After that it reached Dehradun (Military Academy) and finally to the city of Mumbai which was known as Bombay at the time. After this, Ghumman and Co continued to move forward with breathtaking progress.
